Our schools in Italy offer these types of accommodation:
- Italian Host Family
- Student Residence
- Apartment
Students preferences vary but we find that the host family option is best from a language learning point of view. Residences sometimes suit younger students better while apartments are more suited to adults who would like a greater degree of independence.
Host families offer the highest level of immersion and a richer learning experience. Anybody staying with a host will experience the genuine Italian way of life. They will also spend more time communicating through Italian as it is with family members. They will experience something that cannot be simulated in a classroom environment and learn more Italian then they would staying with other students.
Residences offer familiarity for students who are apprehensive about going away or who just want to live with other language students. By staying oncampus each student generally will become comfortable quicker. While staying on residence, younger students are supervised and encouraged to speak Italian at all times.
Apartments are perfect to adult students who wish to maintain a greater degree of privacy and independence. Each apartment would typically be shared between two or maybe three students. They are available to both pre-booked groups and individuals.
