Italian Language Level
All students with any knowledge of Italian will take a test to determine their level and place them with a group of students of similar ability.
If you find your class either to easy or too difficult, it is normally not a problem to change up or down a level. Here are some basic guidelines to help you determine your own level of Italian.
- A1/A2 : elementary: Very basic knowledge
- B1/B2 : intermediary: Some knowledge
- C1 : advanced: Good knowledge
- C2 : proficiency: Excellent knowledge
In addition to these levels, some of our schools offer:
- A0 : total beginner: No knowledge.

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is adopted by most of our Spanish language schools. The link above will take you to their website which contains examples of what should be achieved at each level.
